Megan Laughlin is a dedicated Instructor with Jawbone Defense whose lifelong connection to firearms has evolved into a deep passion for empowering others to protect themselves and their loved ones. Raised around responsible gun ownership and an avid target shooter, Megan believes wholeheartedly in the importance of being one’s own first responder. That belief guides every class she teaches and every student she supports.

With a degree in psychology and an extensive professional background in behavioral health, Megan brings a critical understanding of human behavior, threat recognition, and deviant behavior to her instruction. She blends this expertise with practical, real-world application, equipping her students not only with skills, but with the mindset required to stay safe and make sound decisions under pressure.

As a mother of two daughters, a real estate agent of more than 20 years, and a vigilant citizen, Megan has encountered numerous situations where preparedness made all the difference. These experiences fuel her commitment to teaching others how to avoid danger, respond effectively, and confidently defend themselves if necessary.

Megan is a USCCA-certified instructor in Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals, as well as the Use of Non-Lethal Force. Her teaching style is supportive, clear, and grounded in real experience, making safety and personal protection approachable for all skill levels.

For Megan, instruction isn’t just a role, it’s a calling. Her mission is to help every student build confidence, capability, and the life-saving knowledge that personal safety is not optional…it’s essential.
